The Princess Royal, who serves as the Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Regina Rifles, will be accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence to unveil a statue of a Second World War Canadian Royal Regina Rifleman.
They will also attend a Reception in Normandy with members of the Regiment to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings.
At the Bayeux War Cemetery, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence will join Normandy veterans and French representatives at a Royal British Legion Service of Commemoration.
In her role as President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, will take part in an annual service of remembrance at Bayeux Cathedral.
Following this, a service and vigil will be held later that evening, during which Her Royal Highness will deliver a speech in memory of those who perished during the operation.
The King and Queen will be present at The Ministry of Defence and the Royal British Legion’s commemorative event at the British Normandy Memorial at Ver-sur-Mer to observe the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
His Majesty serves as the Patron of the Royal British Legion.
The Prince of Wales will attend the Canadian commemorative ceremony at the Juno Beach Centre in Courseulles-sur-Mer hosted by the Government of Canada.
His Royal Highness will stand alongside Canadian D-Day and Second World War Veterans, as well as Canadian Armed Forces personnel, cadets, and young representatives at the event.
The Prince of Wales will also participate in the international commemorative ceremony at Omaha Beach in Saint Laurent sur Mer, where he will join over 25 Heads of State and veterans from various countries around the world to commemorate this historic anniversary.
At the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will gather with veterans and their families for the Royal British Legion’s Service of Remembrance.
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will attend 'D-Day 80: Remembering the Normandy Landings' at the Royal Albert Hall.
This event, filled with music-led, multi-generational storytelling, will reflect on the events of the Second World War.
