The Queen's Visit to Northern Ireland

At the start of the day, Queen Elizabeth II arrived in Belfast City Centre to engage with three renowned small businesses in Northern Ireland.

These establishments were Coffey’s Butchers, Arcadia Delicatessen, and Knotts Craft Bakery.

Subsequently, Her Majesty proceeded to visit The Rifles at Thiepval Barracks in Lisburn, where she received a Royal Salute and observed the battalion performing a march and double-past.

The parade was witnessed by the rest of the Battalion as well as their families.

The Queen then joined the Riflemen and their families for a reception.

Later, the Queen made her way to Hillsborough Castle to attend a special event hosted by The Queen's Reading Room.

The occasion featured captivating performances by poets and actors, showcasing some of the finest Northern Irish poetry.

Upon the conclusion of the recital, Her Majesty interacted with attendees at the event, which included the First Minister and Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland.
