Developed through a collaboration between Homewards, Saatchi Gallery, and Eleven Eleven Foundation, this exhibition features artworks by artists from the UK and beyond.
It serves as a powerful platform for individuals directly impacted by homelessness to express their stories through art.
During the Prince's visit, he interacted with artists who have contributed new pieces to the exhibition, as well as individuals with personal experiences of homelessness who have inspired some of the artwork.
A post from The Prince and Princess of Wales (@princeandprincessofwales) was shared.
The exhibition is divided into three sections.
The first section, 'Invisible Words', showcases a moving collection of signs created by individuals facing homelessness globally.
The second section, 'Reframed', includes newly commissioned artworks that reflect the artists' own experiences or those of others navigating homelessness.
The third and final section, 'Open Doors', displays doors crafted by children and youth from Homewards locations in Aberdeen; Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole; Lambeth; Newport; Northern Ireland; and Sheffield.
Designed with the guidance of local artists who have experienced homelessness, these doors symbolize the diverse pathways to combatting homelessness.
An integral goal of the Homewards program, launched by the Prince of Wales and The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales in June 2023, is to reshape the narrative and confront misconceptions and stereotypes surrounding homelessness.
