The Monarch's Visit to Southport

The monarch visited Southport to show his unwavering support for the individuals impacted by the attack on July 29th and the subsequent chaos in the town, as well as to express gratitude to the frontline emergency personnel for their continuous efforts in serving the local community.

During his visit to Southport Town Hall, the King signed a book of condolences and held a private meeting with some of the children and families affected by the recent tragic knife attack that resulted in the loss of three young girls.

Additionally, His Majesty engaged with members of the Southport community outside the Town Hall.

Later on, he held discussions with representatives from Merseyside's emergency services and local community organizations at the Southport Community Fire Station.

The King listened to accounts from personnel representing Merseyside's Police, Fire and Rescue, and Ambulance services about their roles in responding to recent incidents and safeguarding the community.

Furthermore, he met with local groups that were impacted by the violence and disorder in Southport, including various faith leaders.
