At a reception in Buckingham Palace celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice, The Princess Royal conveyed a message from The King, expressing his deep regret for not being able to personally attend but appreciating the presence of the guests.

The message honored the bravery and service of the veterans who fought in the Korean War alongside United Nations Allies.

The message acknowledged the sacrifices made by the 60,000 British and 50,000 Commonwealth servicemen and women during the war, highlighting the role they played in securing democratic freedom for the people of the Republic of Korea.
