Royal Visit to Worcestershire by The Princess Royal

The new Emergency Department at Worcestershire Royal Hospital has been officially opened by The Princess Royal.

Serving a large population of over 500,000 people in Worcestershire and beyond, the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust offers a wide range of healthcare services to the community.

During her visit, Her Royal Highness toured the newly opened facilities, including the Children's Emergency Department, waiting areas, a Rapid Assessment and Treatment area, and a Mental Health Suite.

She also took the time to meet with the dedicated staff working in the Emergency Department.

To mark the occasion, The Princess Royal unveiled a plaque, signifying the official opening of the new department.

Additionally, The Princess Royal inaugurated Kildare Hall, a new building at The Showground in Malvern, Worcestershire, in her capacity as Patron of the Three Counties Agricultural Society.

The versatile building is designed to meet the Society's needs for its main shows and venue hire events.

Most recently, it hosted the RHS Malvern Spring Festival, including a new Festival of Houseplants.

During her visit, Her Royal Highness engaged with Trustees of The Kildare Trust, the construction team behind Kildare Hall, and volunteers from the Royal Three Counties Show.
