Upon their arrival, they will be received by His Excellency Mr.
Hajime Hayashi, Ambassador of Japan.
The Viscount Brookeborough KG, Lord-in-Waiting, will greet them on behalf of The King.
Before the official commencement of the State Visit, the Emperor will partake in a private program of engagements, including visits to Japan House and the Thames Barrier.
The Prince of Wales will meet the Emperor and Empress at their hotel on Tuesday morning, representing The King.
They will then proceed to Horse Guards Parade, where a Ceremonial Welcome will be extended to Their Majesties.
Subsequently, the King and Queen will welcome the Emperor and Empress at the Royal Pavilion on Horse Guards Parade.
A Guard of Honour will present a Royal Salute, and the Japanese National Anthem will be played.
The Emperor and The King will inspect the Guard of Honour, followed by a carriage procession to Buckingham Palace.
A lunch hosted by The King at Buckingham Palace will be followed by a viewing of a special exhibition in the Picture Gallery featuring items from the Royal Collection related to Japan.
Later in the afternoon, the Emperor and Empress will visit Westminster Abbey, where the Emperor will lay a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.
The Dean of Westminster will accompany them on a tour of the Abbey.
In the evening, a State Banquet will be hosted by The King, attended by the Emperor and Empress, The Queen, and Members of the Royal Family.
Speeches by The King and the Emperor will mark the beginning of the banquet.
The following day, the Emperor will visit The Francis Crick Institute, a leading biomedical research center in the UK.
An evening banquet at the Guildhall, hosted by the Lord Mayor and City of London Corporation, will be attended by The Emperor of Japan and The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
On the final day of the State Visit, The Emperor and Empress will bid farewell to The King and Queen at Buckingham Palace before heading to the V&A Museum's Young V&A section.
There, the museum's exhibition "Japan: Myths to Manga" will be showcased.
Later, the Emperor will lay a wreath on the tomb of Queen Elizabeth II at St.
George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, and visit the Temperate House at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
Their last stop in the UK will be Oxford, where The Emperor and Empress will engage in various private engagements, including visits to the colleges they attended.
Finally, The Lord Chamberlain will bid farewell to the Emperor and Empress on behalf of The King as they depart from RAF Brize Norton.
