A Visit from the King to Southport

The King made a visit to Southport to demonstrate his unwavering support for those affected by the attack on the 29th of July and the subsequent chaos in the town.

During his visit, he took the time to express gratitude to the frontline emergency personnel for their ongoing commitment to serving the local community.

While at Southport Town Hall, His Majesty penned a message in a book of condolence and had a private meeting with some of the children and families impacted by the recent tragic knife attack in the town, where three young girls lost their lives.

Additionally, The King engaged with members of the Southport community outside the Town Hall and later held discussions with representatives from Merseyside's emergency services and local community organizations at the Southport Community Fire Station.

During these interactions, His Majesty listened to accounts from professionals representing Merseyside's Police, Fire and Rescue, and Ambulance services about their efforts in responding to recent crises and ensuring the safety of individuals in the region.

Furthermore, he met with local groups affected by the violent disturbances in Southport, including religious leaders.

The Royal Family shared a post about the visit on their Instagram account.
